Re: Bioshock Infinite
hmmm, why with the 1900's theme? System Shock 3 is what we want - space stations and crazed AI's!

Looks great, truth told I'm glad we're not headed back to Rapture, though I'm sure they'll be links...
There's a report on the press unveiling over on Kotaku;

More excitingly This is Levine's baby. not some in house dev team like 'shock 2 was.

First two games took place in the 1960's.bobbynewmarkiii wrote:hmmm, why with the 1900's theme? System Shock 3 is what we want - space stations and crazed AI's!
I think it looks pretty neat. I loved the first one, but I still haven't picked up the second yet.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Thoughts?

Hmmmm...there is sooooooooooo much left to be done with Rapture. I can't figure out why the complete change. Despite that, I will probably pick this up. It's bound to be good, but I would love to visit Rapture again in the future.

I don't think there is too much more that can be done in Rapture. The first two did such a great job at conveying a story through the audio diaries that it would be very difficult to just add in another villain. It already came off as a little forced when Sofia Lamb, a very important figure in the second game, came out of nowhere and was never mentioned in the first game. I don't think they can do that again without ruining the story (unless it's a prequel).Shabba wrote:Hmmmm...there is sooooooooooo much left to be done with Rapture. Re: Bioshock Infinite
I dunno...there is the pre-story with the creation of rapture (as you mentioned and what I would love to see more than anything), there would be a story between 1 and 2 where the little sisters were being harvested from outside of Rapture and of course, there would be what happens after part 2.Jmenglan wrote:I don't think there is too much more that can be done in Rapture. Of course this game will be cool with a sky world. I just hope that this brand doesn't go the way of other brands (sonic?)...
