Do You Buy Games For Anybody Else For Christmas?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Do You Buy Games For Anybody Else For Christmas?

Post by racketboy »

I buy a PC game every now and then for my brother. He's an RTS and Racing fan.

I used to buy some PS1 & PS2 games for my wife's cousins when they were younger.

I've also bought a DS for both my wife and mother-in-law along with a game here and there. They both love the things. I may get a DS for my mom for her birthday since I got her hooked on Brain Age :)

I was just curious if anybody else spreads the gaming love. What platforms do you buy for them?

my younger stepbrother usually gets a ps2 game or two from me. i gave my mom one of those atari 2600 TV games things, she wasn't really too impressed haha. i thought she might like it since we used to play centipede and kaboom all the time when i was little, but i thought wrong :)

i'm sure when my son's older he'll get video games from me pretty regularly.

My little brother-in-law. He made out last year, as we went to CompUSA the evening after Thanksgiving and we found great deals galore. I think he came out with 4 games from us. Other than that, my wife buys me games, so i guess since it's our money, I buy myself games???

I know that my brother is giving me Elite Beat Agents for Christmas because he didn't want to pay for it and so therefore hes giving it me as a present. But I'm not giving him a game, I've got some other game related stuff to give him.

No one else in my family regards video games as a adult entertainment medium yet so they all miss out.

Heh - I don't buy at the moment but usually have my younger cousin "store" some of my backups.

my brother and I help our parents pick out gifts for each other and there's usually a game or two in there. It's been ps2 for the past few years, since that's what current system we'd had, but it was n64 years before that and I'm sure the 360 will be in there this year...

I'm actually getting my dad gaming stuff this year since he's finally gotten into console gaming. It's a sigh of relief after years of "I'm not buying another console..." He'll be getting god of war 2 or shadow of the colossus for ps2.

My older brother is a big NES fan so if I find games he doesnt have I buy them over the course of the year and give them to him when I see him - he lives out of state. He is also a big fan of Ms Pacman and Galaga/Galaxian. So I was going to build him a bartop out of an old pc and monitor I have lying around, but the harddrive failed and as much as he wants it his wife has said no, for now. Need an interface aswell now that I think about it.

I buy quite a lot of games for my family really, although a good chunk of those are casual games.
