I think the way the guncon2/1 stuff goes is that..

Some guncon2 games will work with the guncon 1, but not all.
None of the Guncon games will work with the guncon 2
All guncon 1 will work with the ps2/guncon 1 combo

There have been a lot of great games recommended, so i won't add anything to the ps2 list. But, if you do jump into the ps1 arena, the point blank games are really fun.

Resident Evil: Dead Aim is a great game. I just got that and I really enjoy the blend of survival horror and shooting. You walk around with the directional pad on the GunCon2 and you use the side buttons for use/action/etc. Whenever you pull the trigger, you jump into a first person perspective where you can shoot with the gun and turn with the directional pad. I love this set up. Resident Evil has always been about conserving ammo, so it feels really important that you be a good shot in this game so you aren't wasting bullets. It makes it muhc more tense than your typical shooter.

not only that, but this is one of the few games where you have to shoot the zombie in the brain to kill it. Really makes situations tense.
