Save Racketboy's Christmas: Looking For PC Magic Box

Post by racketboy »

I was reviewing my Christmas Wishlist and noticed that the store I had suggested my family buy from for a PC Magic Box (Dreamcast, Saturn, Playstation-to USB Adapter) is now out of stock.

I went Googling for other stores that sell them. Everyone except for one seems to be out of stock.
The only place left seems to be Mod-Chip.com

Has anybody dealt with them or heard good/bad about them?
Anybody know of anybody that is selling them?
Anybody have one they are willing to part with?

Any help would be appreciated!

I ordered 2 mod chips from them. They did well.

I just got mine from an ebay store:
http://cgi.ebay.com/3-IN-1-PC-JOYBOX-SA ... dZViewItem
Just as in I got it Friday afternoon and only got to play with it this morning. Beat Sonic 2 and the first couple stages of Comix Zone as a test, by far better than playing with a SNES or PS2 pad.

And yes I know it is alittle more pricey, but eh, it was a left over gift money from my grandparents. Tardis USB hub and half of the joybox, I cant complain.

Is that with a Saturn controller?
I plan on using it with a standard Saturn controller and my DC Agetec Joystick.

yeah sorry, posted before I put the link in - and I am not going to tinyurl it, you have to put up with me not caring about margins for once.

It works with the standard Saturn and Dreamcast controllers, I do not have fancy controllers to test with. Well I have some thirdparty arcade sticks, but they are in pieces waiting for real components to be added. Which means I need a new soldering iron.

I will say it is my second favorite adapter, super smart joy will probably always be my favorite. Granted I have only had a short time with it, we will see how well it holds up to some Nintendo games soon. But it did well in Mountain of Faith and MUGEN today, so it is a tough call.

Awesome -- just bought it from the eBay store.
Cheaper than Mod-chip.com and I'd rather pay with Paypal and have eBay behind me.

Thanks to all of you for the quick responses -- I was pretty bummed tonight until this helped me out :)
