back in April or May I found $600 worth of videogame stuff at a yardsale for $20... so yeah. You should go to them.
I have never found anything of value at a yard sale, ever. I've always looked diligently, too.
Swap meets are where I find my best deals. Also, unbelievable rare finds at 2nd hand thrift stores.

Picked up Zelda:OOT, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, DK64, and Kirby 64 for $2 each at goodwill today. Also finally got copies of Secret of Mana and Lufia for $20 and $13, respectively. Not super deals but felt I should have them now that I'm closing in on 200 SNES games in my collection.

That's a beautiful model 1 Genesis you rescued! I so regret selling my Sonic 1 Genesis model 1 boxed for a copy of winter heat for saturn. I was a dumb kid.

same here. yard sales are def hit or miss. and they mostly are miss for me. come-on-feel-the-noise scored big time with that find. most people aren't that lucky.

Sega Genesis, Model 2, all original hook ups, 2 controllers and these carts: Aaahh!! Real Monsters, Animaniacs, Ariel the Little Mermaid, Bass Masters Classic, The Berenstain Bears Camping Adventure, Ecco the Dolphin, Garfield: Caught in the Act, Genesis 6-Pak, Math Blaster: Episode 1, Mickey's Ultimate Challenge, Monopoly, NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, NHL All-Star Hockey '95, Sylvest & Tweety in Cagey Capers, Wacky World Creativity Studio for $10.00.

Obviously the games aren't anything to write home about (and I do write home about awesome video game finds quite often) but I'm totally psyched to finally own a Genesis that actually works. Also, FUCK YEAH BERENSTAIN BEARS ON SEGA.

Dude, I have normal night-time dreams about that sort of thing. Lost in Nevada, dehydrated and wandering into a random thrift store and finding 5,000 games for 25 cents. It's a recurring dream.
