I own the second one, and despite hearing mostly negative things about the first I decided to look it up on ebay and see if I could score a cheap copy. Holy crap the lowest price I saw it for was 30 dollars, when did this game get so expensive?

This is not fact, just a guess.

Most shitty games dont sell well, games that dont sell well stop production quickly, meaning there is only a small amount of the game out there = worth more.

But about Gigawing - I've played it on CPS2, and it's good - not as good as Gigawing 2, but still playable - I guess it's up to you whether it's worth buying at $30.

Eh that's a little much for that game, especially since i remember seeing it for a couple dollars just a few years ago

In what bizarro world do you live in that $30 is expensive for a video game? That bad boy sold for $50-60 when it came out.

It's eleven years old and mediocre to boot. Ikaruga, a much better game is cheaper than this on xbla and gamcube, and the bizarro world I live in is that of a college student on a limited budget.

stadium events used to only sell for 50 or so bucks on ebay back in the mid to late 90s.

times are much different now then a few years ago.

I'm not surprised by the price with many Dreamcast games with low print runs went up in value.

Little off Topic, sorry. One game collector's silly tale.

I remember er maybe not remember exactly, seeing Giga Wing 2 in Gamestop. A month later heard about Propeller Arena. Forgetting the title name, I thought that Airplane pic on the cover was the rumored very limited release of said pulled game. In my OCD panic, I started combing Gamestops digging under racks bugging sales associates.

"Have you seen Propeller Arena?"
"No, what's that?"
"An airplane Quake Arena game."
"Oh, an add on level for Quake Arena?"
"No its a stand alone like Crimson Skies."
"What's that?"

This went on for three months until I spotted another Giga Wing 2, realizing my error.
Few months later the GD-R Propeller Arena got leaked, cracked and all over the net.
