How accurate is this IGN survival guide?
http://movies.ign.com/articles/110/1106569p1.html

I'm planning to take my PSP down there with me, good idea?

Also, I want to get the SDCC TF Blaster, with the toys in the convention, is it cash only, or do they take credit card?

That is a good guide and pretty accurate for conventions in general. :)

All common sense. I think the golden rule is GET THERE EARLY. I don't buy the permission to take photos though. Its a convention, is expected of photo shots, unless in a meeting room seminar session.

Can't emphasize enough to take advantage of taking couple extra days. Lots of other stuff to do in San Diego, Pacific Beach, Balboa Park, Mission Bay, Torrey Pines and even Mexico to the South and L.A. to the North.

Water Paradise, Thunderboats happen here every year. Wakeboarding, Sailboating or biking around the bay.

At the Civic Theater about 10 blocks from the Convention Center, Saturday during Comic Con.

Video Games Live Symphony Show, mixed feelings if this is worth the time and moola.

If anyone wants to hook me up with some of the free swag feel free :D (Posters mainly. I need to update the ones in my classroom they are pre-Infinite Crisis SDCC posters) I will gladly pay shipping for extras/doubles anyone gets, as long as they are kid friendly (middle school) and feature recognizable characters.

It almost took us a half-day, but we got a rental car, a Mazada 3, so zoom-zoom!

We're thinking of going to San Diego Zoo, USS Midway, and meet up with a couple of high school buddies at In-n-Out.

Anything else worth going? I was thinking of stopping by Fry's, since in MN, Best Buy is King of Electronics.

The Zoo is huge, go during weekday for less crowd, be sure to start at top of Bird Avalon, a nice huge fenced in leisurely "Rain Forest" downhill explore. Also next to the Zoo is Balboa Park, museums with 1915 Panama Exposition Worlds Fair architecture a sight to see.

Next to the USS Midway, there is a huge gaudy statue of the V-Day celebration.
Watch how many tourists look up the nurse statue dress.

Earlier reply for the best In-n-Out, a short ride from FRYS though confusing if you don't have a map.
Oh and FRYS will blow Best Buy away! The Home Depot of Electronics stores.
Friday newspaper always has a four page ad insert.

Might as well go all the way on the cholesterol count. Hit the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts West on Clairemont.
Watch them made by hand and assembly line machine, get a paper hat and eat tons, "Hell with diet, I'm on vacation."

If you are into NES hit the Luna Games Retro store, the Ocean Beach one at 4837 Voltaire Street.
Its small, just ask, tons of NES carts piled in the back.

While you are there swing over to Mission Beach. Old wood roller coaster and a bunch of eateries and beer joints.
Part of Mission Bay, a wakeboarding and sailboat paradise.

If casinos are your thing, there are a few Indian "Vegas style" casinos half hour away.

Gotta check out the beaches too, San Diego has that covered pretty well.
Imperial, Silver Strand, Coronado, Ocean, Mission, La Jolla, Torrey Pines beaches and more up North.

Back at my hometown, but boy, Comic-con was fun.

But what are you suppose to eat at In-n-Out, my bro and I ordered the Double-Double combo, with my fries being extra crisp. The burgers were better than Wendy's but in our heads just about the same as Culver's.

The Zoo was fun, as was the USS Midway.

Which In-n-Out did you end up going to? Did you ever make it to Frys Electronics?
