Sega Mega Jet

Post by softwhere »

Does anyone own one of these?

I am working on my Sega collection and was wondering what a good price to pay for one is? Were they only released in Japan or are there PAL versions? are they compatible with all games?

I guess I will post more if someone answers these. I tried to search but found nothing :[.

I own one. It's a great novelty item or for people who absolutely have to collect
all Sega systems. I am not a Sega collector, but I've always wanted one. I just
waited til I saw one at a reasonable price.

It was only released in Japan, but America has the Sega Nomad.
The Mega Jet is what Japan Airlines used to give to kids to use as entertainment in the
first class section. Of course it wasn't theirs to keep. Later Sega thought it would be
cool to release it to the public.

Here's mine:

that seems like an extremely fair price. the only one on ebay is $335 :[. Now to find someone living in Japan :].

Does it only play Japanese region games?

I've only played JPN region games on it, but to answer your question I will try to play my U.S. games on it. I will let you know by this time tomorrow!

All of my games with the old Genesis worked (the ones with the original Genesis logo), all of the newer games with the newer logo did not work. I don't have any PAL games, so I cannot test those. Hope that helps!

Go for it man just make sure you've got alot of batteries.
I put rocket fuel in my vaccuum and it started a fire in my house. I am so mad at Black & Decker for making a vaccuum that I can't do what I want with.

It doesn't use batteries, AC power only.
