Okay so iv decided the next console i want to buy is a Mega CD (even if it is an attatchment)
Now im fine with games i know want i want but this is my issue.
I have a Mega Drive model one is it compatible with the Mega CD 2? or can i only use the Mega CD model 1?
Now does the Megadrive have to be on at the same time as the Mega CD to run? or they work seperaetly?
Also my Mega Drive is modded to do 60HZ so if i flip the switch on, will the Mega CD boot in 60hz also?
Thanks!

Re: Mega CD help!
You can use a Mega Drive model 1 with a Mega CD model 1 or 2, it doesn't matter. The model 2 Mega CD has a special extender plate that you'll want. Otherwise, it will just look stupid. You can also use a model 2 Mega Drive with a model 1 Mega CD... but it will look really bad.MaliceValentine wrote:I have a Mega Drive model one is it compatible with the Mega CD 2? or can i only use the Mega CD model 1?
Same time. The power slider on the MD turns on the whole combo unit. They each use their own power unit, though. Now does the Megadrive have to be on at the same time as the Mega CD to run? or they work seperaetly?

As you can see in this picture of a Japanese Mega Drive 1 and Mega CD 2, they work just fine together:

As far as I know, an American Sega CD or Japanese Mega CD would work on a PAL Mega Drive. You would only be able to play US or JP CD games on it, but they would run at 60Hz. Might be an option.
