quick question: after you do that is the memory card usable for regular saves? how much space will be used for the files?

I only have one mc and when in need of space tranfer all my save to pc on a usb stick with ARmax.

the memory card works the same as always. the space it takes up on your memory card is small, depending on how many elfs you're going to be loading on. If you have a hard drive, i'm guessing you will if you're planning on using hd loader, all you need to put on your mc is the boot program on there which wuold be like 100kb. On your memory card the save will say it is a corrupt save. If you have AR Max it is very very easy to get this loaded on your card. You will need an original psx game to makes this work by the way.

You still have plenty of room left on the mem card after running the exploit. I have a mem card that I use just for the exploit, in port 2, and run my regular mem card in port 1.

Setting up the mem card exploit is fairly easy. You just create your own TITLE.DB file based on the PSX game you want to use as your trigger disc (or boot disc).

Also, to the person who said it wasn't very compatible with games when you get the free version, it is extremely compatible. The only games that don't usually work are the DVD-9 games (GT4 and God of War are the two main ones that don't work) but you can download fixes for that. I have had HDLoader on my mem card and it hasn't failed to load any games. All I've had to do is change some modes for EA Sports games.

However, if you are going to go this way with a harddrive, determine how you want to transfer stuff. If you plan on using HDL Dumb/p your harddrive can't be bigger than 128 GB. (my current issue). WinHiip works for larger HDs but does not support networking to my knowledge. Same goes for HD Handiness.
