Resident Evil 1.5 - Help!

I just never could get into the Resident Evil games. I can't stand the rotation-style control scheme. Maybe I would be OK with that if it came with a rotating joystick like those arcade games used to use, like Smash TV and Heavy Barrel.

I always liked the way the controls where clunky and the characters moved really slowly and you couldnt run and shoot at the same time, I found it adds tension to whats happening on screen and makes the game challenging. Each to their own though and most gamers are divided over RE for these very reasons.

I never knew till I saw this thread that there was a 1.5, but I'm pretty interested to know more about it now. Hats off to capcom for starting again so close to the end rather than releasing something they were 100% happy with. If only more developers would take a pride in their work and reputation like that.

This whole Resident Evil 1.5 drama is definetly something that I'm interested in. So what I was thinking of doing was compiling all of the known information on the game and making some sort of fact sheet-esque article for the main site. I've passed this idea by Racket Boy and he is cool with it.

I already have a nice bounty of sources but I wanted to know if anyone else has anything that might prove useful or if there are any questions that anyone had on the game. I reckon that I still need more info tho. Hmmm

Sounds like a great idea. One quesiton I do have: Is it true that some of the development staff were not too happy that this version of the game got scrapped and so left and made Parasite Eve for Square?
