Just to update. I recently got my Xbox back, and there was no problem with it being a Halo 3 Xbox. However, they managed to lose the little flap that covers the usb ports. I phoned them this morning and because it's out of warranty and I "claim" that it got lost at the repair centre they've had to escalate it, and now I'm waiting for someone to call me back about it. ¬_¬

Is it actually gone, or is the spring just gone? I've seen tons of 360s where the spring holding the USB door is gone.

The door is just completely gone.
They are apparently going to send me a new faceplate, but every time I mention that it's a Halo 3 faceplate I get passed on to someone else.
