psp neogeo and PCEngine! it's true?

So, while sony has been doing a lot of things to stab us in the back recently, i think they have done something smart. now i know this was once a rumor once...but i was surprised to see that after i updated my psp there was a new grouping option for games that had a nice little surprise. besides seeing folders that say the usual psp, minis, and playstation games; i saw two more folders PCEngine and NEOGEO! so i guess this means these platforms are confirmed.

now i have official firmware (i would get CFW if i could; have a 3001) so this isn't a fluke of some sort. and i know that many of you would just say use cfw. but i also know a number of you that have official because you can't (like in my case), your against it, or you just don't know how. so what does everyone think about this? think sony will put them up a reasonable prices? im hoping to see some pocket color games personally.

Having a go I'm excited to see this. Can get my NeoGeo on the go with a backlight! (Sorry NGPC, you don't work in the dark)

Ive had those on my PSP fat for over a year. With every rom installed.

CFW opens up alot of options.

The PC Engine folder has been there for over a year. The Neo Geo one is new, though! Woohoo!

Gotta love Sony, always light years behind the homebrew scene. They should focus on MAME arcade games if they want to excite us with something even the homebrew scene hasn't delivered the goods on. MAME compatability last time I checked is very low, with only a small number of games playable. Thanks god for emulators that run Capcom and Neo Geo arcade games, but that still leaves out a lot of classic stuff(like all of Konami's arcade hits)

Ive been running Neo Geo, CPS1 and 2 and Final Burn Alpha on my PSP since Dec 08.

Gameforlife is right, MAME has a low compatibility rate.

I also run PS1 games on it.

Youve gotta know where to look for this stuff.

You can CFW with chickHen if your OFW is below 5.03

yeah me and my friend found that out the day after we updated ours to 5.03...
