I just bought a ps3, what games should I buy?

I wouldn't buy a PS3 unless it was the year 2033 and it was dirt cheap and I already had picked up retro consoles like the Wii and 360 first. But having said that, if somebody GAVE me a PS3 and said "you have to keep it," then the games I would get for myself would be:
3D Dot Game Hero - definitely. It's Atlus! It's "retro" yet fresh. It looks beautiful. It would be my first PS3 purchase without question.
Street Fighter IV - though I'm not CRAZY about 3D fighters, I am a fan of the series so this would beg for me to try it.
Final Fantasy XIII - though I'm not CRAZY about 3D RPG's, I am a fan of the series so this would beg for me to try it.
NBA2k11 - 11 is out now right? If not, then 10. And NBA 2k is must-own for any console.

Uncharted 2 definitely. Easily one of the best modern games i've played in as long as I can remember. Great story, production, and most of all the gameplay is entirely fun. It has just the right amount of everything. I played that before playing Uncharted 1 as like you, I was late to arrive on the ps3 bandwagon. After enjoying UC 2 so much, I went back and bought the first one and although still great, just wasn't the masterpiece that was 2.

he said "Aside from a war themed fps..." Isn't Uncharted 2 a war themed FPS? (I might be wrong, I'm really not familiar.)winds wrote:Uncharted 2 definitely. No it's not a war fps.
First of all it's third person.
And i'd call it a Third Person Action/Adventure with some combat involved

I'm not really sure about Uncharted 2. The whole thing just lacked any real appeal to me. The main character being the archetypal action movie hero, the whole thing looking like a generic action flick. However, I keep hearing people say it's such an amazing game, so now I feel like I have to try it, if only to decide for myself whether or not it's as great as everyone says.Riqz85 wrote:No it's not a war fps.

But in 2033 we'll all be living in the rail tunnels under Moscow, defending ourselves from the Nosalies. At least, those of us who survived.noiseredux wrote:I wouldn't buy a PS3 unless it was the year 2033

I'll admit, pretty funny. My bad, apologies.Niode wrote:Here are some of my favourites.

There's being wrong and there's calling Modern Warfare a platformer.noiseredux wrote:like I said, "(I might be wrong, I'm really not familiar.)"Riqz85 wrote:No it's not a war fps.
