What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I've seen Delicatessen and City of Lost Children and love them both.

First time I heard about CoLC was when I first rented the VHS copy of Heavy Metal from a local video rental place.

And I finished I Sell the Dead. Good ending.
Delicatessen was great, I have not seen his other films. I have seen the trailer for City of Lost Children a million times but it just never really interested me enough to see the film.
You mean like Aliens IV: Resurrection?

Anyway, last film I watched was Red Son, starring Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mifune. A band of outlaws robs the Japanese ambassador to the US and steals a gift from the Japanese Emperor to the US President. Bronson and Mifune are sent to get it back. Sure, it's got stereotypical Indians and Mexican outlaws, but it features two actors I love seeing on the silver screen, so I gave it a chance and ended up really loving it.

Actually I did see Alien Resurrection. Didn't realize it was the same dude. It was a decent movie. Not as good as the ones before it but better than the ones after it. Or one I should say as I have not seen AvP2.

Hunt for the Red October. One of Alec Baldwins best...even though James Bond as a Russian Submarine captain is just silly.

Couple other must sees: CITY OF THE LOST CHILDREN and I think his best work AMELIE.
Indeed, I own both. :)

City of Lost Children
is high on my list of things to see, so I'll get to that soon. For whatever reason, I have zero interest in Amelie despite the rave reviews. I get the sense (correct or not) that it is over the top indie/quirky just for the sake of it, and that it is a sappy story at that. Am I wrong?
What I really liked of Amelie is the love of life, appreciation in small details, metaphors. Without trying to give away too much, watch as Amelie takes the old blind man for his walk; discovering all that he has missed. Makes one really appreciate things around them.

Jaws, great movie for the summer. I plan to watch the rest of the Jaws movies in the next few nights. Just to scare the crap out of me as much as possible before surfing season begins.

Tron - and now I really want Dillinger's desk:

The funny part about it is that now I could make it at home, and at a reasonable price.
