I see no valuable benefits to it. There is the fact that you get a few free games, but they get deleted as soon as your account runs out, so that's worthless. You get PSN discounts, but I've only seen discounts in the $1-$2 range, so unless you buy a LOT of PSN games, then it's not worth it.

I was gonna give it a try until I heard about losing your games if your subscption expires. I also don't buy many PSN games so I will pass for now unless the service gets more benefits and lets you keep the games :(

I think that the service can save you a lot in theory, but it's the kind of saving that requires you to spend money (discounts), and like lisalover said, you'd need to buy quite a few PSN titles to start racking up the "savings". I can't imagine that this is all they've come up with for the service, but if it is than I'm rather unimpressed.

The worst part is that some new games and content will be exclusive to the service, so you won't be able to buy them unless you pay for the service. So let me get this straight; Sony is expecting you to pay for the privilege to pay them more? :|

I want to be mad about this, but honestly any time Sony pulls a dick move like this I just can't manage to be surprised anymore.

I'm considering it. Kotaku ran a thingie about it, and it gives you a theoretical $85.85 in it's first month alone. That's not bad. http://kotaku.com/5575419/what-do-you-g ... e=true&s=i

Sure, the free games are just rentals, but something tells me that after a year's time, I'll have more than my fill of games like "Age of Zombies" and "Rally Cross on PSone Classic". As far as I know, being a PS+ subscriber doesn't prevent you from buying the games after your done, so why not?

I'll give it some time. If I didn't already have WipeOut HD, I'd easily jump on this deal, but it's a hard sell for those who already have WipeOut HD. In fact, that's the biggest issue I've been hearing from people who aren't "Out-in-Out" Sony Haters (Who, of course, will see anything Sony tries to do as an evil scheme to take the fun out of gaming) - that they aren't offering a game for free that they don't already have, which is kinda silly considering they're essentially expecting a huge company to cater to their specific wants.

The problem is that while you save a potential $85.85, you have to consider how much money you have to spend up until that point in order to acquire those savings. Some things are free, but a lot of that is based on discounts, meaning that I'm spending a lot of money on PSN titles in addition to discounted prices on titles, meaning that I'm also probably spending a whole lot more money on PSN than I would have been regularly. I think that this could potentially lead to a vicious cycle of "saving money", while in actuality you're spending a whole lot more than you would otherwise. These savings are also calculated assuming that you literally purchase every single thing in the plus section, when you're probably only interested in a few things.

I guess over the course of a year the actual money you save could add up pretty decently, it depends on how much you usually spend on PSN.
