I had heard that they re-released certain Konami games like Super Castlevania and Contra III. I wonder if anyone here knows exactly what games they re-released and how one would identify a re-release versus an original
On a similar note, anyone know how to tell between an original Revenge of Shinobi for the Genesis versus the newer, censored ones(the game was censored I believe due to legal issues regarding the use of comic book characters for one of the boss fights)

Re: Majesco re-releases
Most re-releases have a black and white colored pages in the instruction manual, the front label of the game is made of non-glossy, cheaper material. and the cartridges are usually made in Mexico. I have Spiderman Arcade's Revenge for SNES (or Acrade's revenge if u see the top label) other cartridges include Lion king, Castlevania 4, Speedy Gonzalez. However ive heard even Game Gear cartridges were also victims of the Majesco re-release.

Re: Majesco re-releases
I have Majesco Contra III and Super Turrican 2 carts myself. Aside from the not so glossy label and being made in Mexico, the back of the cart will have the warning blurb as part of the cart instead of being a sticker.
Majesco also made the Mini Genesis 3 and a lot of the TV plug and play games.

Re: Majesco re-releases
There's was two threads on this already, actually. In the second one, I linked the first one. I forget who, but some one posted a LOT of info about the Majesco carts.

Thanks everyone, I've wondered about this for a long time and finally decided to ask here on the forums. This info will be very helpful.
