Wait. Your profile says you are a PhD student. Also you're telling us that you are a 23 year old who dresses as a French maid and hangs out on a retro gamer forum. As a religious person I believe in things many would say are totally irrational, but here I find the the limits of my credulity strained. I don't mean this as a personal attack (and I totally apologize if I'm wrong), I'm just saying that I can't believe you exist. It's not that I don't believe, it's that I can't. I just don't have the conceptual tools. What's next? A world where 3d sonic games don't suck?Missy wrote:Halloween is awesome. I would go so far as to say it beats Christmas if presents were involved.
I'm 23 but still always look forward to dressing up to go out. Last year I went as a french maid, this year the halloween club night I go to was last Saturday and I went as a victorian lady (corset, bustle skirt, shrug, fan etc). I might get dressed up again tomorrow though since my favourite cocktail bar is having a fancy dress event. And cut-price cocktails is not something I wanna miss.
@Mozgus: I wouldn't phrase it as "you're never too old for Halloween", rather "you're never too old to have fun"
I know plenty of people that started their PhD studies at 23 (or even 22 then quickly made 23). The retro gamer forum isn't hard either.philipofmacedon wrote:

The french maid part I'll grant you is stretching it. Why would a guy want to dress up as french maid anyway.

We all are a bit weird and don't really fit your orthodox nerd.

uncooth plug for my friends photo website... party in West Palm!
I went as my favorite Mario brother, Luigi. I modified a pair of overalls, donned a green shirt and hat. I also found a snap on 'stache too. It's nothing too elaborate, but it was fun. I got a lot of laughs from others. I ended the night by going to a live performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
This guy has you all beat.
