We'll see how things go. Meet is still 2 months away.

lol. Well a bump is a bump. Should we risk a Houston-imports post about this?

Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
LOL. The thread would fall off page one in a day there.
I'm hoping for a solid 10. I know about 2 or 3 locals who will probably go. They are classic/retro gamers but they are too lazy to sign up for Racketboy. One of the guys from the Round Rock Game Over store really wanted to attend but I doubt he will be able to unless we hold the gathering at that store.
He hasn't posted anything but I'll let you guys in on it. onemanfilmcrew's moving date has been pushed back a bit. Unless he finds a job, I don't think he'll be making it.
Game Over's Classic Game Fest is going on right now. They are doing a Super Mario Bros tourney of some sort on Friday and a few of the guys from neo-geo.com are going to be there with some systems. I'll mention our meet to them and see if they are interested.
There is a reason I set the meet at the end of August. It gives us plenty of time to let people know and to scrap plans and re-do if we decide to go in a different direction. Don't worry, if it looks like no one is going to show (or mostly people from Houston are going to show), we can call things off. I don't want you guys driving up for nothing.
edit: There, hope I'm not making a mess.

NeoGeo meet was retardedly awesome. A mini cab MVS, another MVS in a box, Neo Geo pocket running on a full sized display and an AES. Had some great KOF '96 matches. All the equipment was top notch - arcade sticks and all. Keith would have cum on himself. The NeoGeo guys were a great bunch. I plugged our meet with a few of them and told them what to expect.

Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
This doesn't sound half bad at all, I've been meaning to meet up with a friend of my in Dallas so I could make a weekend out of it. Austin is like 5 or so hours out from here so that's definetly do-able.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?
