Normally I'd agree for the bigger companies, however Gearbox software being a smaller development co. I think we have a better chance.

The developer is a smaller company, meaning we are able to contact the developing talent much more easily.

Companies that deal with hundreds and hundreds of projects and franschises, may get fanmail all the time demanding everything from technical support to franchise requests ala Earthbound.

Here we are contacting a very small developing house which means are suggestions are a bit more accessible.

Indeed, look at 3D realms during the entire development of DNF they have let fans suggest new features, and be involved in the game creation slightly and they have a forum community. Gearbox also has a fourm community.

Plus, I think we deserve the addition.

1. For loyal fans of the original
2. For the fact that the original maracas set us back a lot of money and it would be a gift to get more use out of them.

3. To keep Samba de Amigo in the vein of the arcade original

Post or ask and ye shall receive..........Something ( a email, a response, the addition of DC maracas)

Just make a post requesting it or send an email. People should always try their best to get what they want.

It indeed has worked in the past. Indeed finally we have gotten Sin & Punishment, finally we have got Sonic in Smash brothers. So there's a good example of things that we ask for finally happening. Indeed its not like the request is something they really have to work that hard on.

I don't really see the point. How would they adjust the Dreamcast maracas to work with the Wii game? Why would Gearbox put all that time and effort into something for the exthemely small amount of people that own this game? What if the Wii controls turn out to be more responsive on Very Hard mode etc? And I already said this, but I won't rule out a maraca attachment for the Wii remote at some point.

One thing I do hope they add or change is the ability to play with two remotes rather than remote + Nunchuck. Asking for Dreamcast maraca compatability is ridiculous, though.

All they'd need to do allow for a gamecube controller input.

THat way this would give 3rd parties the oportunity, to

A. make new marracas.
B. Make a dreamcast to Gamecube controller converter.

Simplier idea:

1) Make the game play with two remotes as an option.
2) Release maraca attachments for the wii remote that have the rattle in them.

Using the technology from the Dreamcast version would make putting the thing on the Wii in the first place completely pointless, as then it may as well be on any system. The sole reason they're even making a Wii version is because the Wii remote has very simlar technology to what the maracas had but at no extra cost to the consumer. The Dreamcast game was too expensive and too bulky hence why only so many were made and most of those went to rental outlets. The Wii gives them a chance to remake the game without this problem, which means it'll most likely sell a lot, lot better. Making people buy maracas that do what the wii remote altready does would be stupid. Get over it, man, the Dreamcast maracas were expensive but worth it in my opinion, and I don't expect Sega to bend over backwards to please the few owners of the original has when it would be a waste of time and money.

All I ask for is a rattling attachment Sega. This would cost next to nothing as the tech would be in the wii remote already and the big red plastic rattle feel could be recreated. Hell, throw in the foot mat for the fun of it too.

How can you get more use from them? They still work on a DC, don't they?
