Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.
Hi do I need a power converter to play ntsc dreamcast in pal region input?
Re: Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.
Yup, I do believe so. If your outlets aren't 110v, then you'll need a converter. You'll need something like this...
or
Just make sure the adapter you get actually changes the voltage, and isn't just an adapter for the different shaped plugs (I use to have one like this for a Japanese console that I used here in the USA). Would look something like this...
^ This adapter will NOT change the voltage for you.
Just search for "voltage adapter" in your local websites.

I think you might need a matching NTSC screen unless you go with a VGA monitor.

Re: Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.
My tv runs games at 60hz perfectly or maybe that just isnt enough?CRTGAMER wrote:I think you might need a matching NTSC screen unless you go with a VGA monitor.
Re: Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.
Well the NTSC Dreamcast will output 60Hz, but I figured you already knew this.
Re: Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.
The frequence (50 or 60hz) and the region video output (PAL, NTSC, SECAM etc.) are two different things. Make sure your TV accept NTSC input.Hallow wrote:My tv runs games at 60hz perfectly or maybe that just isnt enough?CRTGAMER wrote:I think you might need a matching NTSC screen unless you go with a VGA monitor.
