Got a 14" Magnavox flat tube CRT earlier today. Picture is basically the same as the 27" Phillips I already own (duh, I know they're made by the same company). The sides are almost flat so it can be tated for shmups.

Maybe I'm drunk...no, I know I'm drunk...but what does it mean to tate something and will I get in trouble if I do that to my girlfriend?wip3outguy7 wrote:*blows dust off thread*

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Actually, your girlfriend may like a good tate once in awhile.

Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
Alright, I went by GO (finally) on lunch to check things out.
The museum area is long but not really very wide. It would probably hold 20 people, but we'll be a bit squished. LOL
The glass cabinets are pushed against the walls so even if we aren't able to prop CRTs or anything on them, a few TV trays or some smaller push carts should be all we need to set up a gaming area without taking up too much space. They still have a couch and a few arcade cabs in the area (pacman and other classic games in an all-in-one cab). I think we should fit comfortably enough and can rotate people out of the museum if things get too cramped. Not sure if anyone wants to sit while playing so you may want to consider bringing a fold out chair of some kind. If you have a pushcart you can spare, let me know if you can bring it.
The courtyard area is a very short walk from the store and it appears to be in a stairwell area and is shaded.

Ah yes, don't want to forget to bring my camping chair. I have some rubbermaid locker things, I could bring anything of mine in one and the 14" TV will sit comfortably on top. Will get it about 16" off the ground at least.

I can also bring 2 6 foot heavy extension cords I made, since 100 foot ones are overkill most of the time. I have a single crappy power strip I can bring if I remember to grab it from the garage. I also might bring cleaning crap for systems.

updated the first post to include who's confirmed to attend so far, games being brought and equipment
Look the list over and let me know if there is something you can bring and I will add it to the list.

I can probably bring my PS2. I might have the backup one ready to go by August. We'll see on controllers. I have 2 PS sticks and some 'meh' Genesis sticks.
