Anyone else think the new XBOX 360 slim is ugly?

It is fairly ugly but so are almost all of the modern consoles. I like my all white(no chrome) Arcade version 360.

I think it looks okay, but I'm really not convinced it's that much smaller than the run of the mill 360. Someone earlier mentioned it was shorter...is that the only dimension really changed? If so, that's kind of a fail, in my opinion. And just like the non-slim PS3s this thing is gonna gather dust like it's nobody's business. I think Microsoft needs to buy stock in feather dusters before they officially launch this thing.

I don't think Microsoft released it as a smaller version, I think they really only wanted to release a version that doesn't have the RROD ever. Plus it has built in Wifi adapter.

Yeah, I prefer the original 360, the original PS3, and just about every original design save for the PS2. The redesign for the PS2 is awesome.

There is 5 if you count handhelds and there are several releases of each of those consoles. 360 is on its forth iteration.

As for the system it is smaller then a ps3 slim if you look on kotaku they have comparisons already. The ps3 slim over hangs the 360 on all sides and it has that awful hump allowing me to not put anything on top of it.

Because the Wii and PS3 are both ugly as is the new 360. The original 360 looks pretty good.

I guess we have different taste because the PS1 or one is not a good looking console. *shrug* I think the NES toaster is a nice looking console.

I guess the Wii is not that bad. When I see it in pictures it is always standing up and slants at an angle but if it was laid down and just looked boxy it would be good.

What did you expect from a company that has spent the last quarter of a century dealing with corporate design? Beige cubicles and sports coats are their forte.

Either way, it doesn't matter squat. As long as the blasted thing doesn't RRoD, I'd buy it even if it looked like a squashed toad.
