Anyone else think the new XBOX 360 slim is ugly?

Anyone else think the new XBOX 360 slim is the first console redesign that actually makes the console ugly/uglier?

I mean let's take a quick history lesson

Mega Drive 1 and 2



PlayStation and PSone



Playstation 3 and Playstation 3 slim




all those redesigns made the console smaller and much prettier, specially the PSone which might be the best looking console of all time.



and now look at the original xbox 360 and the new "slim one"





It's so ugly. The old 360, while it's design was flawed (RROD) it looks really nice, elegant, and fits well in an IKEA ad. This beast looks ugly in a pc hardware ad :S:S.

anyone else feel the same?

I can't say the new 360 is definitively ugly as I've only seen it in pictures. Sometimes seeing things in person helps change opinion a bit. I am not to fond of the angular shape the new design has but it's not horrible.

I am just glad that they redesigned the internal components of the system to make a quieter and hopefully more reliable system revision. Slim or micronized would have been a nice way to go, but at least we got something.

I hope next system generation is able to learn and improve on the design mistakes and broken promises of this current one. (Please take your time with R&D next time around Microsoft)

Yes they have put it through its paces and the system saves a lot of energy compared to older models and does not have heating issues the tray still snacks on discs though.

Also the system looks a lot better in person then in pictures the only complaint I have heard is that its shiny and glossy smooth but thats how people like there games now a days so I don't see what the big deal is.

The 360S isn't really any slimmer it is shorter... I think the 'S' stands for 'Stumpy' I think it looks like an awful gaming PC. I'll stick with my gorgeous red elite thanks.

Also for the record I prefer the original version of the PS3

Yeah it looks horrible. I'll stick with my white premium and black elite.

the glossy kinda kills it, but i think it would look good in my setup, seeing as everything i have hooked up is black (less my Wii)
