It begins as a strange feeling in your legs that seems to get worse until you stand up and move around. Deep inside your legs you can feel burning, creeping, and crawling sensations that are hard to describe, even to your doctor. Meanwhile, you cope with your condition the best you can.

I dont get it but my wife does, and she manages to keep me awake most nights by continually kicking me in the legs while sleeping peacefully herself

I don't believe in bullshit syndromes, but yeah I have this about half the nights I'm trying to sleep. It's just one of the many quirky issues our bodies have. Not everything needs a pill. Being more active works better.

Yeah, isn't it funny that you never heard of the stuff until a year or so ago when they came up with a pill.

Living with RLS is difficult both physically and mentally and can have a major impact on normal, everyday life.

Sorry to hear that -- I just found it interesting that it just seemed to pop out of nowhere all of a sudden like ADD and stuff.
Is it mostly the tingely sensation or what?

Personally, when I hear the term "restless leg" I always think of myself because my legs are always fidgety and moving around even when I'm sitting down or relaxing. Kinda weird.

And I kinda agree with Mozgus that I'd rather see if there was a physical thing that could help it instead of popping medications. My wife and I have had too many bad experiences with becoming addicted to medications and then trying to get off them because of the side effects and such.
