Just curious, I recently purchased a PS3 and I'm wondering something.. I'm interested in purchasing and playing some FPS games online but I want to know if they support mouse and KB play, or do they just force everyone to use a controller? Personally I think it would be better if everyone is forced to use a controller since, it evens the playing field more.. It's just my opinion that playing with a mouse gives one a huge advantage against controller players because you basically can aim and turn quicker with a mouse..
Kinda reminds me of my current game SSFIV and how the PS3 controller is a little sensitive, and it's recommended to play with an arcade stick...
Now I know maybe this isn't the place for this but I just wanted some honest and quick feedback.. I tried googling this topic and all I got were old articles from a few years back..

I know Resistance: Fall of Man and Unreal Tournament III works with a mouse and keyboard. But if you'd like to play all your FPS's on your PS3 with a mouse and keyboard, there are adapters out there like the XFPS that will enable you to do that.

I say it's not an unfair advantage, because they could just buy the keyboard/mouse themselves.
That's saying that you should be forced to use the worse game controller just because other's are too poor to purchase the good one.

Re: Some basic PS3 Questions..
Most PS3 games don't support mouse and keyboard. A few do, but I don't believe most people use the mouse and keyboard, as at that point they actually understand the PC is the superior platform for FPS control.EvilRyu2099 wrote:Just curious, I recently purchased a PS3 and I'm wondering something.. This is a good question, because I cant seem to get into using a controller for FPS games. It just doesnt feel right. Much rather use the keyboard/mouse.

Well the problem with the PC FPS games is that hardware is constantly updating, so it's hard to keep up with the most recent Spec Requirements of the newer games... I remember a few years ago when F.E.A.R came out the Spec Requirements for that game was INSANE... I mean not many people back then were able to play it when it was first released due to it being so advanced technically..

Re: Some basic PS3 Questions..
Actually, a big problem is that people buy a new PC and refuse to play it on anything but the absolute highest settings at 1600x1200 on their PC. If they'll just knock the resolution down a little and turn down the shiny sliders a notch or two, it will still look good and likely better than a console game even if they don't have the absolute newest PC hardware. Some people also don't close other running programs when playing games either and have a bunch of junk 'helper' stuff running.EvilRyu2099 wrote: Well the problem with the PC FPS games is that hardware is constantly updating, so it's hard to keep up with the most recent Spec Requirements of the newer games...
