XBOX 360 Slim ad leaked

What I want to see is how this model handles use. If it manages a low failure rate, then that's a big step towards me considering a purchase.

So the console known for overheating is getting a smaller version.

YAY LOGIC!

Smaller means a higher ratio of surface area to volume, increasing cooling ability.

Plus it has a larger fan and a zillion vents.

Also uses less power, so less heat to get rid of. That leaked picture of the motherboard a few months ago was sporting a fairly normal cooler that looked kind of like an Orb cooler for PC CPUs. I think the CPU and GPU were one package now too. That would all be under that vent covering half of the flat side.

Anyone else shocked that it doesn't have a slot loading dvd drive? I figured that was coming for sure, both PS3 and Wii have one.

No that's good. Tray drives have less parts to break then slot loaders. Have you ever looked in a slot loading drive? All kinds of crazy scissor bits to make sure the disk stays centered. Of course the Wii drive has to be able to handle both sized discs too. Tray is much simpler.

hi 360 scene , i knew this would happen ie a Slim was going to be released.

I bet it has all new security features packed to the rims enabling burnt games not working on it.

But in time it should be hacked by teams to allow so including other exploits

Who cares tbh? Doesn't everyone own 2 xbox's anyway (1 banned one legit??) I'm really not going to buy a third just for aesthetics.

Now that they're dropping the prices on the older 360's once again, I really hope they also drop the prices on their hard drives. Especially since this new model won't be utilizing it.

I dont have one yet. I cant afford it, especially the old ones since WiFi is a must in my house and the old adapter costs about as much as a used system.
