Don't forget about the fact that you can't plug in your current HD and transfer your data if you plan on moving to a slim.
Is it me or are new consoles taking away more features than they are giving?
I personally couldn't give a fuck if I can watch netflix on my X-box, I have a region-free DVD player for that, but I want to be able to transfer data between consoles. That seems like one of the most basic features a console could have.

My Sale thread, lots of nintendo, neo-geo, and sega stuff!

As long as it is reliable, will let me install the games to the harddrive, and will let me transfer saves on a memory card/jump drive, I am still interested.

I am not familiar with all of the 360 saving functions though - Are there some not transferable saves, like the Wii or some other issue I am missing here?
IIRC, you can re-download your XBLA saves, but you have to backup your game saves yourself.

You can supposedly move your stuff over with a flash drive since the last update. Heck I'm using a flash drive to store my profile and saves as I don't have a HD. Though my rescued 360 just died on me again this weekend. :x

Didn't MS kill the ability to use non-licensed Flash Drives?

Looks fine to me, not that you can tell much from the ad. it's still less ugly than the PS3 :P . All I care about it is whether or not it will cause a price drop in the current model, cause if it does I'll be buying a JP system real soon.

I've been using a non MS one just fine. Just using a regular USB flash drive. It was working last I played about a week ago. Are you thinking about 3rd party memory units?

Well, anybody who watched E3 knows that it's official, and shipping now. That was a real shock; reminds me of the Saturn's US launch.

They just revealed it a few minutes ago and it looks a good size smaller. Looks a bit better than what i assumed from the picture. I didn't catch what it looked like laying flat (a big concern for me).
