ZOE 1 has a far superior vs mode engine than 2 which is why i recommend ZOE 1 than ZOE 2.
Genesis:
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Rolling Thunder 2
Saturn:
Guardian Heroes
Galactic Attack
Soukyugurentai
Die Hard Arcade
Playstation 2:
Taito Legends 2
Ghost in the Shell: SAC
Golden Axe 1, 2, & 3 (Genesis collection)
Zone Of The Enders 1 & ZOE: The Second Runner if wanted for Versus mode
Austin, Texas Rackeboy members' meet on 8/20/2010
Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
I was thinking of bringing the first Zone of the Enders and setting up Versus mode if anyone would be interested in that. Once you get the controls down, it leads to a really fun mash up dog fight. Just throwing it out there.
Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
Does anyone have interest in any classic 2D fighters?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
I have several.
edit: Oh wait, I thought you were asking if anyone had any. I'll play any 2D fighter... as long as it's made by SNK.

I am currently looking around to buy a 13" CRT or two. If you have a TV or display of some sort that you don't mind bringing, please consider. We're going to need them. I'm thinking around 3 to 5 TVs and systems hooked up at the same time so that everyone can be gaming and we don't have a lot of people waiting around for their turn.
Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
I'll bring a few then. How do you feel about King of Fighters 2001/2002 for your SNK affection plus Arcana Heart, and Capcom Vs SNK 2?wip3outguy7 wrote:I have several.

Re: Central Texas Rackeboy member's meet
I myself will quickly get bored of fighting games because I suck at them. I have the SamSho anthology and SFII 10 ways to Sunday, but I don't play them for more than a few minutes at a time.Flake wrote:Does anyone have interest in any classic 2D fighters?
I have several 13" Commodore monitors and could probably bring 1 or 2 depending on what my vehicle situation in August or any carpooling with Houston people happens.

Good call. I'll just bring the one fighter then and see what happens.Hobie-wan wrote:But I agree we should limit what we bring otherwise we won't play anything for more than 5 minutes.

Yeah, I'll bring something like KOF 98 UM in case things get boring on the PS2 (doubt they will).
If we want to play fighting games, we can head over to UFO when the meeting is over.

Yeah, I think it's going to be a blast. I think we have a solid 10 showing up at this point.
