That has been suggested multiples times before. It's even on Wikipedia:
Today, football is played at a professional level all over the world. Millions of people regularly go to football stadiums to follow their favourite teams,[17] while billions more watch the game on television.[18] A very large number of people also play football at an amateur level. According to a survey conducted by FIFA published in 2001, over 240 million people from more than 200 countries regularly play football.[19] While football has the highest global television audience in sport,[20] its simple rules and minimal equipment requirements at amateur level, have no doubt aided its growth in terms of participation.

heck I'm pretty sure that when ancient people made the first balls, the first thing they did was kick them.

Heck, before making the first balls, I bet the ancient people already were kicking (or kneeing) balls...

Yes, in the U.S. some (most?) people think that the only, the true, the real football is the one you play mostly with your hands. Go figure. And therefore there is another word for football - soccer. I have no idea where the word "soccer" came from though (after 30 secs I saw that it might have come from "association").

Nope - Eventhough I have a coax jack at my desk and work for an ISP/TV company, tv in the office is a fireable offense.

I got the stream working, it is alittle laggy, but thats ok.
