People don't just look at the score at the end because they do think that the action going on at all times during the match is relevant. It might not be to you, but there are things people pay attention to that makes the game worth watching. But, I don't know, I don't see a point in American football and baseball...
American football is at least fun to play (not sure about watching since I've never seen a game in my life).
baseball...... I don't know why that game exists. I remember when I lived in the US, our elementary P.E teacher taking us out to play baseball. Everyone was bored, about 97% of us striked out, and the teacher had to get us a stand for the ball so we could hit it.
Most of the time players are just standing and waiting for everyone to get into position, or for it to be their turn to be batter.
IMO the only sports that are worth
watching are football and basketball.
most other sports feel like a game. Fun to play, boring to watch. I tried watching professional volleyball for some time, but found it boring.
Heck I tried watching curling. boring to watch but seamed fun to play.
