Not of you stick to mainly Japanese games.

While it is true that the Saturn has quite a few games that are rare and valuable, there is absolutely no comparison in prices between the Saturn and the Neo Geo AES. The AES prices are astronomical when compared to the very few Saturn games that fetch over $100.

The Neo Geo CD and MVS are more cost effective but still beyond the collective value of Saturn collecting, although that comparison is a little more fair.

Comparing MVS to Saturn isn't too far off, especially considering that every Japanese cart has English language options. While the average price of MVS titles is likely higher, both Saturn and MVS have a number of titles that reach near or over the triple digit amount. Both also have their share of ~$200 titles. AES is no comparison, but I have no idea how anyone can justify spending so much on home carts.

And, uh, a region switch > two consoles. :D

Thanks for the help guys. I forgot about the 101 articles. I looked on VGPC at the saturn games and saw a lot of cheap games but I suppose a large amount of that data comes from incomplete games.

IF you want to drop a grand or so (not over) and get totally set up with a JP Saturn and about 100 games (including Radiant Silvergun and a dozen plus other shoot 'em ups), I'm willing to sell mine. PM me if you're serious about that.

If you want a really good saturn collection, my only real advice is this: set aside some cash.
I love my saturn, but I just cannot afford the Killer Apps, aside from panzer dragoon one and two and Nights that is.
Oh, and a memory cart is handy too.
