It has nothing to do with being "weak," I just generally don't like backtracking in games. The Devil May Cry series is one of my favorites, but I really didn't like DMC4 due to the huge amount of backtracking - it ruined the experience for me. I'm feeling the same way about this game. It's not that I'm dying repeatedly - the game is actually fairly easy once you get powered up - it is that I keep going past the same stuff, fighting the same lame enemies, etc. The idea that I'd have to do it all again in "inverted" form doesn't sound very appealing at this point...
Just poking fun. I guess backtracking doesn't bother me too much, I always liked to look around the castle and see the scenery or listen to the music. I didn't even notice the eyeball in the long hallway in the marble gallery until like my third playthrough.

No worries. I just beat Richter in a fairly easy fight and got the credits, so I'm calling it done. I just spammed potions and kept smacking him around. After the credits (complete with cheesy song!) I was surprised I didn't get an option for new game + or something...

so I went and checked the FAQs and it looks like I needed to defeat Richter in a certain way and have a certain item to even get into the inverted castle! Maybe if the story was more engrossing I'd go back and give it another go, but as is I'm just glad to call it done.

Hopefully I find the next title on my list - Ico - to be more entertaining. I got about an hour into that game last time I started it and just got bored, though...

I see alienjesus already got started - when are the rest of you planning to play Ico?

Man, I knew about the goggles... and moved on.
So what is the ending like if you beat Richter?

Anyway for ICO, Ill probably wait until I give the Inverted Castle a chance... so I'm guessing this weekend Ill start the next game.

How did you know about the glasses? It seems that the game was made so that if you really wanted to find all the secrets, you almost had to consult a guide.

I got a map from the net that showed all items. When I got the googles, Maria hinted that they should be worn... so I wore them and attacked the orb & Richter. The Orb died first.

If I remember, I think it was in the library - the place at the bottom of the library where you need mist to get through.

Also, what the hell would I ever need that wolf form for? It seemed pretty useless.

I think its used in the inverted castle to get some item. IMO, the inverted castle was a lot more enjoyable since you had a chance to play through it as a completely upgraded badass.
