Site Spruce Up & Additions

Post by racketboy »

In case you were seeing any weird pages or error messages, we just did some sprucing up around here.
- Tagline added to site logo
- Upgraded to the newest Wordpress version
- Made the header more consistent through the entire site (including search box)
- New front page with more links to the popular series (good for new visitors)
- Slimmed-down blog header (got rid of the retro logo and all the white space), and added more useful links

I'll still be tweaking some of this stuff a bit to make it easier to find stuff (especially for new users)

Also, the game database project has passed the prototype phase and will go into production soon. You should hopefully see a working product (and a nice looking one) by the end of 2007.

Cool!
Let my legs shake me to sleep, and don't wake me when I sweat on my sheets.

I don't like the front page at all!
It's too crowded, and the picture isn't the best :?

Too crowded? How's that?
If anything it has less text and it laid in a more ordered fashion...

As for the graphic, it's definitely not set in stone, but I did want more color than the greyscale I had before...

I kinda like the new layout. At first I was a little concerned ( I'm easily scared of change ) but the new layout will really help people new to site because it seems a little more clean and easier to navigate. I could care less about adding more colour but I definatly like the new look .
Perhaps for the graphic ,maybe remove the monitor and just have a picture alone. oh and i'll miss the saturn conroller but oh well.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. I'm gonna play around with ideas in Photoshop.
I don't want to do "just the screenshot" since I felt that looked a bit generic.

I like the new content, but I like how I could see the whole page without scrolling down before = My 2cents.

Well, whatever you do I think it's going in the right direction.
Are you leaning toward Jet grind radio for the art or is that still open.

Wow, the front page is much better. Your initial experiments didn't compare to this, so this is better than I thought.

Well, it fits fine on my larger monitor, but yes, there is a small amount of scrolling on smaller displays like my laptop.
I did just tighten up some of the descriptions and the number of bullet items in the middle, so it should be shorter now.
