Moving game moments

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'm far too desensitised to feel anything for one-dimensional game characters.

Two that i remember

Most recently, the Metal Gear Solid 4 ending sequence. So tense i actually felt anxious. Not really moving in a crying sorta way but still emotional.

Also in FF7(SPOILER)when Aeris died i remember actually shouting "NOOOOO!"

That's still a spoiler? I have hardly played the game and already know that.

Some people might still be playing it as we're in a retro gaming forum.

Final scenes in FF Crisis Core

**********Spoiler Alert *************

I thought the moments right before Zack's death as he was talking to Cloud was really moving to actual see. That and handing over his sword to him. That final scripted fight too, real sad.

Metal Gear Solid, preview first seen at the 1998 Tokyo Game Show.
The Japanese character voices with a hint of Celtic music. The best!
Watch the whole thing, you'll see.

EDIT
An unlock on the PS1 version, I wonder if this is on the Gamecube?

Spoiler alert for Red Dead Redemption**************

I just got to Mexico in the one player campaign, and rode to the nearest town with the first real song I've heard in the game. It was like playing a movie, and I didn't want it to end!
Yeah that was a great one. There's another moment like that in one of the final missions that is just fantastic.

I'll second that. Crisis Core's story was silly at times. Pretty much everthing involving the other Soldier members was ridiculous, but Zack's moments with Cloud and Aerith were all very touching. Those three characters were the only part of the story I gave a crap about

Zack's death is one of the most violent, brutal things I've ever seen in a Final Fantasy game. Regardless of whether or not the player has gotten attached to him, it's still hard to watch

Does literal movement count? :P

Btw, I just thought to mention Mass Effect. That was one powerful ending, that the player was given such a hefty choice to make. Still not moving, but the song was great!
