Good faith in spambots.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Good faith in spambots.

Post by Anapan »

I just received a pretty well written (despite the obvious misplaced capital and language barrier issues) spambot email. This is the first time this has happened to me in about 4 years. Usually there is some really bad grammar errors the likes of which I usually only see on the back of instant ramen noodles. Are spambots evolving? Is this information I put forward being parsed and understood? is this a breakthrough in AI development? I certainly hope so!

Copypasta:

Amira, obviously you are either mentally challenged or a bot collecting information for a mass spamming scam, but under good faith I am emailing an actually typed email which were I not drunk I would ignore. In the off chance you are not mentally deficient I would like you to reply with some relevant information on one of whichever subjects I have touched on during my breif access to the world wide web in either mmorpg platformer game development, midi fm syntesis implementation, Pokemon, retro gaming in general, or some other abandoned niche pop media interest I have contributed to in my participation in the internet communication phenomenon as it is or were. In the very likely chance you are an information gathering bot, I hope your receiving filters are sophisticated enough to parse this information and you will try harder next time. PS, if you are gay and planning to send naked pictures of yourself or other males, I am not interested as I am heterosexual and therefore not into such things.

Cheers;

Having just watched Ghost in the Shell I am trying to fully support the advancement in AI. This was the right thing to do.

I'll try harder during the reply. Give me tips on advancing AI. The best I've found is Hal 9000 and Niall. Akinator does OK for a specific function. Because spam has money involved there should be more drive to make it better but my fallout account is constantly barraged with weak attempts at communications. I know for a fact that the crap I receive is making people money but the problem is there's no effort to outsmart me. Buy a statistics list off of google and an active email list off ebay and there's no challenge. I want to see some AI that can rival those weak attempts at my cash.

String a bunch of words together.
Write up your reply,

Use google translate, translate it to Japanese, then Spanish, then back to English.

Aww the babelfish abuser is out of order. I was gonna paste something good. I'll be sober tomorrow and this topic will hopefully die. I don't think there's any intelligent spam, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. please post any ambitious spams you come across. The mods do such a good job culling them we may never see the likes of Henry Girk again...
