Question about Burnout Paradise on the PS3

Post by Lokkenjawnz »

So I'm looking to pick this game up and I'd like to get the Ultimate Box version but I can't seem to get a definitive answer as to whether it exists on the PS3. Based on the Wikipedia article for the game, and a brief google search I believe that there is a PS3 version of the Ultimate Box, however I can't seem to find a guaranteed copy of it to purchase. The closest I've found is this listing on Amazon for the PC version which lets you switch to a PS3 copy, but the PS3 picture looks exactly the same as the normal game, so I have no idea if it's actually the game.

Basically, I'm completely confused about this. I'd be happy to get the regular version of Burnout, but if possible I'd like all the extra crap in the Ultimate Box. Can someone here lend some insight and help me out?

Only internationally.

January 16, 2009 - Today, EA announced that Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is only available on PC in North America and is not being released in the U.S. on PS3 or Xbox 360. PC gamers can experience the Ultimate Box, which includes the original game, the previously released Cagney and Bikes downloadable packs, and the new Party Pack, on February 5. That same day, the Party Pack will be released, for free, on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store...

Thanks for the info D! So now arises a new question: in the article you quoted the Party Pack is listed as a free add-on, however on the Wikipedia article it's listed as a paid add-on, is there any way I can check which is right, without directly using my PS3? I can't get to it for a day or two, and I'd like to figure this all out ASAP so I can see about ordering the game on Amazon! I need to smash me up some cars!

How about you just buy a euro/aussie version of the Ultimate box?
