fuzzy picture, why?

when i play a genesis game the picture is not really clear its a little fuzzy, why is that? i use a rf switch to connect to the tv. is it because the sega is old? or the rf switch?

Ah.. Actually, mine are only for Model 2s and 3s
eBay should have ones for Model 1 though....
