I would like to have seen Megaman on Dreamcast. Of all the consoles of that generation, the Dreamcast would have been the most perfect for a Legends 3 or more 2D Megaman X games.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Yea, and what if the game didnt take 30 seconds to load for every 20 steps you took.CRTGAMER wrote:Dreamcast games...what if
What if Half Life came out. The guide book did, officially the game did not![]()

The controls are actually not too bad in this game, work much better than I thought, just takes you awhile to get use to.
Re: Dreamcast games...what if?...
The controls for Half-Life on DC were actually pretty damn good, if the leaked version is anything to go by. You aimed with the analog stick and used A/B/X/Y to move. It was pretty slick.Weekend_Warrior wrote:It might have been cool with the keyboard and mouse. But I can't imagine trying to play that game with only one analog stick on the DC controller. The control setup probably would have been similar to Outtrigger. What a nightmare!
If we're going to be talking about 'What if?' games, though, this is what I want.

Just like DC Quake, controls are forgivable considering the layout. "Otis loves Dreamcast"!emwearz wrote:Yea, and what if the game didnt take 30 seconds to load for every 20 steps you took.CRTGAMER wrote:Dreamcast games...what if

I hate that long load, happened a few times, "Damn I meant to go that way!"
Now have to backtrack and sit through 2 load screens.

Re: Dreamcast games...what if?...
tribes was an awesome game, we would play that for hours online, on ps2skyknight wrote:Very hard to say if Halo itself will be able to save the SEGA Dreamcast, as its original intended release would be in mid-2001.
Recently I did read an article on under-appreciated games, the and Sierra's Tribes was consider the pioneer in on-line FPS, just about 1 whole year before Halo.
But who knows if MS didn't bought out Bungie studios, and Bungie first release Halo on PC first, then consoles later?

Re: Dreamcast games...what if?...
this thread makes me want some cheat codes for life so i can see the alternate ending for the Dreamcast.
Panzer Dragoon stomps Final Fantasy into the ground, Sonic punts Mario into a pool of battery acid, and Sambi De Amigo makes guitar hero look like special ed games.
Thats how i picture it, anyway.
I dont think Halo alone could have done this, though. If it was an exclusive and the Dreamcast was right at peak sales, I could see halo dragging the DC across the finish line, but i think its life still would have been much shorter than the average console at the time, and ps and xbox would still have the upper edge.
