3rd Party Xbox 360 Power Supply/Cable?

Post by darthmunky »

Are there any third party power cables for Xbox 360 that use less power and/or are more convenient (less huge) than the official Microsoft one?

I highly doubt it, I would say that any console that is prone to overheating, The stupidest thing you could do is use a 3rd party PSU.

I'm not aware of any but I wouldn't take a risk with a PSU on the Xbox 360.

It's the system components (cpu, gpu, fan, hard disk) that determine how much power it draws, not the power supply unit.

Yeah you can't plug in a lower wattage/amperage power supply (as in one from a jasper) into a Zephyr or Falcon. It won't let you, the plug is keyed to stop you from doing that. However, power supplies from older units, such as Xenon/Zephyr/Falcon will work on newer lower rated units. So a Xenon PSU will work on a Zephyr/Falcon/Jasper and a Falcon PSU will work on a Jasper etc. But Jasper PSU will only work on a Jasper unit.
