and for whatever reason the model 1 Genesis AC Adapter will NOT work?
Re: A few Sega Nomad questions
Yes. Model 1 AC adapter has a different plug size (and may or may not have a different power output).

Re: A few Sega Nomad questions
I'm guessing the model 2 is the same plug size as the Game Gear. Is that correct?
Re: A few Sega Nomad questions
I believe so, but I'd have to check at home.

Re: A few Sega Nomad questions
The MK-2103 power supply will power a Genesis model 2, a Nomad, a Game Gear, or a Genesis model 3. There are a couple different cases for this power supply, but they all work the same.

gotcha. I'm on the hunt for a cheap model 2 adapter so I can test out these Nomads and sell them in good conscience.Hobie-wan wrote:As Mr Popo said, different voltage, as well as being different sized plugs.noiseredux wrote:and for whatever reason the model 1 Genesis AC Adapter will NOT work?

I believe the Game Gear actually uses a Model 1 Adapter.

US GG uses the same adapter as a US Gen Model 2. Maybe that's different in other countries, I dunno.Hateshinai wrote:I believe the Game Gear actually uses a Model 1 Adapter.
