Brutal Legend (Psychonauts, Grim Fandango, Monkey Island)

Post by PacoDG »

Just got front paged on Digg with this, I have no doubt some of you old school PC adventure type gamers will enjoy this news:

Image

"Psychonauts, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, that Tim Schafer. Tenacious D, Cable Guy, Saving Silverman, a million other things, that Jack Black. Brütal Legend will be coming to some kind of system near you. Right now all that exists is a scan of the next Game Informer cover. More info to come soon."

10 pages of scans can be found here (link).

I just wish we could get another SCUMM Styled 2d game. But alas Ill just have to live with the brilliance of the late 80s early 90s.

Agreed about the 2D games -- its really surprising to me that 2D hasn't enjoyed a huge rebound with high-definition. Perhaps I'm just impatient. At any rate, at least I'll gladly take a beautiful SCUMMesque 3D game.

Sounds like a "famous" game designer and a famous actor are getting together to make a game. That's what that sentence is trying to say. It's failing, grammatically, but that appears to be the point.
