We all know Sony is failing. The PS3 was full of expensive technology, and even with its 600 dollar price tag, Sony was still losing over 200 dollars on each PS3 sold. The Emotion Engiine, Cell Processor, powerful graphics hardware, and the then-expensive Blu-Ray drive. Right now, though, these are fine. But their reputation is tarnished.
Why do you think Sony is failing?
Why is Sony Failing?

Re: Why is Sony Failing?
I don't think they are failing, sure they aren't doing nearly as well as they hoped, but, on the PS3 front, things are looking up for them, they are close to breaking even on every PS3 sold, and they have a great software lineup that is exclusive to their system. They are doing somewhat horrible in the handheld market recently but they've still done better over the last couple years than most game companies that have tried to get a piece of that pie before. Also, you seem behind on your information about what's in the PS3 and the price.
You seem misinformed, as almost all game companies loose money on the hardware front. Not to mention, the PS3 has been and still is selling very well.

These are my favorite types of trolls. The ones that post completely legit comments, but do so in a troll like manner. They laugh at any and all serious responses they get.

As for me, I think that Sony is failing because the PS3 is a bitch to program for, a lack of many exclusive and notable third party games, and the fact that either the Wii or XBox 360 is a more desirable system.

Yea, there was always the chance of that, and this just actually being a thread of a newbie. Then again, you may just be laughing at this response.Lusit wrote:This was a serious thread but w/e.slowslow325 wrote:These are my favorite types of trolls. If you aren't a troll, I predict that you are a 10 year old kid that thinks he knows a lot about video games.

What goes up must come down. Sony has ruled the sandbox for a decade, as Nintendo did before it. Every move can't be a winner.
Sony, like Nintendo before it, will survive and learn. Maybe one day they'll make the come back the Big-N has recently.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I personally think he is misinformed, and by playing off what he "knows" as legit, he becomes a troll.slowslow325 wrote:These are my favorite types of trolls. The ones that post completely legit comments, but do so in a troll like manner. They laugh at any and all serious responses they get.
@OP: Sony decreases production price on PS3s as much as possible. Whenever production price meets retail price, they cut the price tag. Plus, Sony makes a good chunk of money from software sales, and as far as I know it makes up for losses on the hardware.
I would rebut you more but will forgo doing so simply because i don't want to come off trollishly or fanboyishly.
