My PS3 is leaving marks on all of my disks

Post by baschlives »

Today when I was playing heavy rain the game froze so I took it out and looked at it.
To my surprise the game had a ring etched into it and lines going from the middle of the disk to the edge of the disk. I went back and looked at other games i had played recently and they all had the same pattern. The lines come off when wiped with a cloth, but when i play the game again the lines re-appear. What should I do about this?

What orientation is your PS3 in? If it's vertical you might try rotating it and making it horizontal.

Sounds like you should throw it away and get a 360.

I just opened mine, since it was already WAY out of warranty, but if you're worried about that I'd just get a can of compressed air and stick it in the disc slot.

Xbox 360s are actually worse with leaving marks on the discs.
