Here's the list of all the translation patches for GBA games on RHDN (it's two pages)...

http://www.romhacking.net/?genre=&platf ... e=&author=

Mother 3 is a pretty popular topic as far as GBA translations and repro/flash carts go.

When looking for translation patches on RHDN, first pay attention to "status" to get an idea if you would even wanna check it out. I usually only go for 'complete' unless there's no other options. Also be sure to always check out the read me file for known bugs or issues and whatnot.

RHDN also has patches for hacks, a lot of which are really good.

I know Tomato (guy who did the Mother 3 translation) is working on hacking the Mother 1 half of Mother 1&2 on GBA. He's staying pretty far away from the Mother 2 half, though. I think Jeffman (other guy who did Mother 3) might be working on the Mother 2 half (since he can just use the Earthbound translation).

I'm playing through the Mother 3 translation now. It's awesome - one of the best portable RPG experiences I've ever had. Lots of humor, almost no 'grinding', and great music are a few of its notable qualities. Everyone must try it!

How would you rate it in comparison to earthbound (snes)? I'm hesitant to play mother 3 because i loved earthbound so much that i would hate to be disappointed with it's sequel.

Anyone know if its still possible to get a hold of one of those Mother 3 fan made guides? I wanted to pick one up when they first came out but actually completely forgot about them until I read this thread.

Handbook is sold out, which is a shame. I snagged one and it's marvelous. They really captured the spirit of the original Earthbound players guide.

that's too bad. There was a printable version but I would have liked the real deal.
