Woah, so Alan wake is actually coming out for real!

Post by BoringSupreez »

Gamespot has a review up now, so I guess it's not going to be a Duke Nukem Forever 2. Suprising that it got an 8.5 from gamespot, and a 9 from IGN. I was expecting that IF it came out, it would be underwhelming. Well, now I have something new to want to buy. Odd that it's rated T. Most violent series are going to M's now. MOH, COD, Splinter Cell, Battlefield, etc. It's not cool to be T rated anymore. :( What if I don't want buckets of blood and f-bombs?

I really don't care whether he's gay or not.

The original Alan Wake was quite promising, and this game has little to do with the initial concept Remedy were trying to deliver.

If we want to get quantitative about it the game is 8/10 or ****/*****. It is supposedly entertaining but I read the ending isn't that good, and the animation isn't stellar either.

The Alan Wake Limited Edition is really nice I like the extras included such as soundtrack, artbook, etc. and is packaged in a book. 8)

I've played through a bit of this game. I got it yesterday, and I'd say it is a really solid release, especially for those who really like to dig deep into their games and search every level. I'm enjoying it. I'll be able to comment on the ending in a few days.

I've been playing it three evenings straight and i'm not done with it yet. It's definitely longer than Max Payne 2. The best way I could describe it would be "Max Payne: Twin Peaks Edition". If you enjoyed the psychological aspect of Max Payne's story this should be right up your alley.. But I hope the ending doesn't disappoint me too much.

Any word of further episodes? I guess a sequel is out of the question now.
