dude, that was everybody's line. Trust me. I heard it from every person I told the film about (in Dante voice).Jrecee wrote:Are you referring to the movie or the position the characters end up in?jp1 wrote:To each his own. I can see how some people would enjoy it.

Salo is really hard to watch, but I will say, its worth seeing, Salo definitely takes an artistic approach, whereas Human Centipede has no intention except to gross you the fuck out, seeing one before the other is unneededfvgazi wrote:My friend and I were just talking about this movie at work. I plan on seeing it right after I watch Salo.
One movie that still doesn't sit with me very well, as great as it was, was Irreversible...if you have any kind of a heart, that movie will send shivers down your spine

Or try "The Girl Next Door" it is bone chilling.

Re: The Human Centipede
In my opinion (since it was brought up) I muuuch prefer Salo to this movie. I find that a fabulous, dark film that's hard to watch/recommend but quite the experience to view.
The Human Centipede? It ain't gory, which is actually kind of nice. It tires me out to see movies trying to one-up each other with pure gross out factor. However, I didn't find the film to be all that fabulous when you take away the "people connected mouth to ass" aspect.
I think if you're the kind of person who will dwell on that aspect, then go right ahead and watch. You'll get something out of it and probably leave the film vaguely disturbed. I really didn't care either way and the film felt like it was dragging (even at the climax!).
That's my two cents.

Yeah, the Jack Ketchum movie, that is a sad one, it sucks that it really happened too...the only problem I had with that one is that the acting was pretty bad
Re: The Human Centipede
I actually thought it was pretty good. The fact that they were all pretty much unknowns added to the realism. The lead was strong in my opinion. The bigger budget version "An American Crime" wasn't nearly as good to me.Snickerd00dle wrote:jp1 wrote:Or try "The Girl Next Door" it is bone chilling.

While we're on the topic of gory/crazy movies, has anyone seen Shramm or Dead Girl (I think it's the name of it)?

Offal for offal's sake is just plain gross. And torture porn is also very worrying but I guess there'll always be people who get off to that sick crap.

Rubber as mentioned elsewhere is what you might consider watching instead. Mr. Oizo has topped himself with this one-joke absurdity trip. I cheer for the angry tire!

Holy crap I thought the teaser thing for Rubber WAS the movie. Are you telling me there's a feature length film about a killer tire?
