another cocktail please...

Post by girlracer »

Picked up this Galaxian cocktail arcade today, paid $200, it currently doesn't work. I bought it from a Dentist who had a repair man look at it and was said that it needed some kind of switch. My dad has been an electronics tech for 20+ years, so he will have to fix it like my other arcades.

Awesome, looks good. I used to go to this pho place in Houston that had a Raiden cocktail table. I'd love to get one.

If it's just a switch it should be a SUPER easy fix.

Nice find!

Of all cocktail tables, I think Galaxian is the most fondly remembered one, CONGRATS!

But I don't remember that type of side to side controller, could have sworn it was a knob joystick.

If it is a easy fix $200 is a pretty good deal. Every time I see cabinets on my local craigslist all the decent games are $500+.

I walked into this thread thinking it was a discussion about martinis. Man, I drink too much.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The switch version to boot. Congrats. If you can, try to get the speedup chip for it aswell. It changes the dynamic, but it makes it alot more fun.

Yeah, that does look rare. I have only seen the knob stick style. Switch a Japanese only?
Maybe that's the "Switch" that girlracer told was broken.
