Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Found and bought "Final Fantasy VI: Advance" at the clearance bin at K-Mart for $5.41.
The factory seal is in rough shape, and the box is looking a bit worse for wear. But finding CIB GBA games is next to impossible this day and age, especially Final Fantasy VI.

Nice. Are the DW and BTII PC? I have DW for PC and BT for C64.Octopod wrote:I found these on eBay.

DW is the one RPG I've played through multiple times. Since you could take your characters back through again with their stats saying the same and only losing equipment, I went through 2 or 3 times and all stats were well over 100 for everyone. I was going to try going through again with no equipment and just use fists and spells, but then my floppy save disk got messed up.

Yeah, IBM/Tandy. I assume that that is PC. Most of my PC ones have the blue IMB compatibles sticker but the IBM/Tandy one is green.
I love the art for DW. I always though 80s and early 90s fantasy art was bad ass. I really do not like most of what I see now a days. It all has an anime cartoony influence. I especially hate Wayne Reynolds stuff. Joe Jusko is still putting out some badass stuff though.
Something that is interesting is that the back of DW says you can import characters from BT 1, 2 and 3.

Did you mean Octopods nice classic RPG pile I was commenting on? I'm assuming you didn't mean my stuff from last weekend.s1mplehumar wrote:Dude. Nice finds, Hobie.

Nope. If they had another one, I would have picked it up too.noiseredux wrote:OMG! Did they have more than one? I still need this one!dedalusdedalus wrote:Found and bought "Final Fantasy VI: Advance" at the clearance bin at K-Mart for $5.41.

But I guess the stuff you read on the forums really is news you can use. I never would have thought to look in a K-mart for video games until I heard about the crazy things people were finding there.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
okay, to celebrate this thread making 300+ pages, i did a little craigslisting today and this is what i've gotten so far.
drove an hour north to anderson, indiana and got the following from someone selling off most of their collection:
PSP 2000 (minor damage to screen, broken UMD drive) - $25
Bioshock (XB360, sealed) - $12
Castle Shikigami 2 (PS2, CIB) - $6
Bujingai: The Forsaken City (PS2, sealed) - $12
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (PS2, sealed) - $12
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (GCN, CIB) - $6
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GCN, CIB) - $6
Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (GCN, CIB) - $6
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3, NM) - $10

then stopped off at gamestop up there to see what they had and picked up
Midway Arcade Treasures 1 (GCN, CIB) - $2.99
Spectral Force 3 (XB360, CIB) - $14.99

THEN found a flea market and saw a few nice things but ended up only grabbing three Atari 2600 games for $5 total: Journey Escape, Gangster Alley and H.E.R.O.
all in all a good day. also meeting up with someone later to pick up a Genesis 3 without AV cables, a DC light gun and Bible Adventures NES (presumably cart only) for $20.
OH! also, a friend of mine just gave me this earlier this week:

Aaron, you suck.
P.S.- If that Genny 3 needs a good home toss it my way!
.
.
.Or I could trade you my MONO Genny 3 for it. I've been trying to find a Stereo Model 3 for ages.
