360 Custom A/V Plug

Post by optmusprimenumber »

my cousin butchered his a/v plug so he could use the optical audio jack and the hdmi port without spending money on the official adapter that lets you plug in both. he lent me his 360 and i opted to clean it up a bit, with his consent of course. dig it.

the switch is accessible and functional:

optical audio is a go:

as you can see, a lot of electrical tape made this possible. some cardboard was used as well. it's a little touchy when plugging it in... the 360 doesn't always seem to know it's plugged it, but i'm pretty sure it was like that in its butchered state. my camera is cheap.

Don't most people just cut a notch out of the connector so that the HDMI can fit?
